When asked about the business value of Web APIs, most Web programmers will look at you with confusion. In their minds, Web APIs always have value and there should be no queston about that fact. However, those charged with the business not only need to understand the value of Web APIs, but a good faith estmate as to what that value is exactly. In essence, they must determine an approach to defne the ROI, and then determine the ROI.
